Caring for wheelchair-bound guests during the transport process
- We encourage all guests in wheelchairs or with other mobility conditions to contact us directly, so we can discuss your needs enroute to Fraser Island. Please contact us on 1800 BARGES (it's a free call in Australia) or by calling 617 4194 9300.
- Travelling to/via Kingfisher Bay Resort? We have a wheelchair lift that can be used to transport guests from the vehicle deck to the main saloon when travelling to and from Fraser Island. If the lift is inoperable, wheelchair-bound passengers may book their vehicle onto the barge at the same rate as the passenger ferry transfer. If wheelchair-bound guests do not have a vehicle, we will provide transport from River Heads in one of our vehicles on the barge and unload them at Kingfisher Bay Resort.
